ABOUT THE EVENT
When is the BBQ and Drawing?
Saturday, May 16th, 2020. The event will begin at 3:00pm and the drawing will be at 5:30pm.
Where is the BBQ and Drawing?
The American Muscle Car Museum. 3500 Sarno Road, Melbourne, Florida.
Can I wait and buy tickets the day of the event?
Absolutely. However, we would suggest getting them ahead of time so you can enjoy the event and avoid the line.
If I attend the BBQ, do I automatically get into the car museum?
If you make a ticket donation of $100, you will get two admissions into the museum. Additional entrances can be obtained the day of the event with a donation of $20.
Do I need my physical ticket to attend the BBQ?
Yes. For a couple of years, with the electronic tickets, it was difficult to police tickets. This year, we will be using real paper tickets again so you will need to present a ticket to attend.
What is the process for tickets this year?
For those of you who have participated for many years, you will remember having “real” tickets. We will be going back to that process this year. If you purchase at a show, through a mailing, or in person, you will receive your tickets at that time. If you purchase tickets online, tickets will be created for you in our office and the stubs will be mailed to you.
How Is the drawing being held this year?
As we’ve gone back to real paper tickets, the winning ticket will be drawn by hand from a drum.
Who do I call if I don’t receive my tickets?
You can call our office at 321-253-4430.
I don’t remember if I purchased tickets this year- is there a way to check?
Yes. Please call (321) 253-4430 and we can check our database.
Do I have to be present to win?
No. We notify the winner by phone immediately after the ticket is drawn, if they are not present.
ABOUT THE CAR
Do you transport the car if I do not live in the area?
No. The winner is responsible for claiming the car within 30 days and transporting it to its final destination.
Do I have to pay anything when I win?
After the taxes are paid, you will get possession of the car. This is an IRS requirement. However, you will be responsible for registration. You will also receive a W-9.
How much is the car worth?
We can’t put a price on “worth”, it’s “worth” whatever someone is willing to pay. However, the car is currently valued at $50,000. Meaning, that is what we paid for the car, and what you would be responsible for paying tax on. Last year’s winner paid about $4000 in taxes. Your situation may be similar or different.
